A Serenity Favorite. Great place to see and enjoy Bahamian plants, wildlife. Hiking and birding trails. Gift shop. The Rand Nature Centre comprises 100 acres of natural beauty near the heart of downtown Freeport, Grand Bahama. The Rand Nature Centre’s foot trails wind through pine barrens, native and exotic coppice and lead out to a freshwater watchable wildlife pond and a native plant arboretum. The Rand Nature offers a variety of habitats from pine forests to wetlands. Trails crisscross the park, making it an ideal spot to spy on various bird species like the Red-legged Thrush and Cuban Emerald. The Centre, which also houses an exhibit room and art gallery is now the home of the administrative office of the Bahamas National Trust (BNT) in Grand Bahama.

Worth a visit also Ol Freetown Farm is great, you can also purchase home grown vegetables and fresh eggs.
