The candy museum is a must see. They have original tools and machinery, as well as a candy making demonstration on the museum tour. Very well explained. There is also a candy store with a large variety of sweets.

“ If you are a mezcalero, you should know that Michoacán has excellent quality mezcal varieties and organoleptic characteristics very different from those of other regions. This place is ideal to try them. Ask for sauces with different varieties of maguey, such as cinnamon or cupreata. Accompany them with cotija cheese that makes perfect harmony with the mezcal flavors of this state. Also ask for the michoacano rum, another gem of the place. If you get hungry there are different dishes created by Fermín Ambás, such as lamb enchiladas in jamaica sauce.”

“A former source of employment for the Indians of the region, this 253-arch, baroque-style aqueduct used to supply the city with water. You can also admire the Tarascas Fountain nearby.”
