Point Defiance Park and Aquarium has a little something for everyone. Wooded trails, beach access, off leash dog park, a little bit of Tacoma history, close to the ferry terminal for a visit to Vashon Island, views of the Olympics, expansive lawns for picnicking, a rose garden, a great aquarium…

One of the biggest inner city parks in the US. You are able to drive through, park and walk around. Beach access and close to the zoo!

5 Mile Drive is at Point Defiance Park. Good to drive or walk, depending on the weather. Lots of amazing views, great easy hiking trails- perfect for families, couples or solo. Several great places to eat nearby, too. If your lucky maybe you'll get a suprise and see a pod of Orcas.

Located in Point Defiance Park, 5 Mile Drive is a great drive in the summer (but a better walk). There are miles of trail and the drive is closed to traffic until noon on most days!

“THE cutest coffee shop! But it doesn't end with coffee, the menu is a mile long with great nibbles! Chandeliers and red velvet booth make this one of my favorite on getting together with a close friend/s.”

“The Antique Sandwich Co. serves some of the most epic lattes, americanos and fresh baked goods in the morning. If you're in a rush, don't go here! Although the service can be quick, quality is more important. About once a month the open the stage up to local artists and singers to showcase their musical talent. My mom played here as a kid and our family would listen to her on a local radio or watch her in person. I have many fond memories here and am so happy to see the continued efforts to host these community events. ”
