There are many beautiful hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty. The most accessible is Big Rocky Hollow Trail, which is wide, level, well maintained, and less than a mile long. It leads to an intermittent waterfall nestled among large rock formations in a forested area. This park is a lovely place to spend the afternoon or camp for the weekend.

A variety of hiking trails to choose from. My two favorites is Big Rocky Hollow Trail after it rains t view an outstanding waterfall and bluffs and Hawk's Cave Trail that will take you to the largest overhang in Southern Il. Both of these trails are close to one another. The perfect place for rock climbing. Google rock climbing routes in Ferne Clyffe for directions.

(33 min drive) – There is a lot to do here with a lake, picnic areas, and longer hiking opportunities, but they are best known for the Big Rocky Hollow Trail. This trail is an easy relatively short hike to see some impressive scenery and views.
