Secluded, private, and off the beaten path. Nice for a kayaking/canoeing, and/or fishing.
Pristine waters, great swimming, fishing, spectacular views, great canoeing, and hiking. Drive in 45 minutes or hike there in an hour and 15 minutes right from our front door. There is a trail system around the lake with access to many secluded beaches on the lake side.
Somerset Reservoir is a large lake in southern Vermont that is nestled deep within the Green Mountain National Forest. The lake is actually a dammed section of the Deerfield River, and is roughly 6.5 miles long and covers 1568 acres. The shoreline is totally undeveloped, but there is a small boat…
This lake has everything, bring your motorboat, I’ve seen sailboats, great hiking, Kayaking, swimming, fishing, and floating. And the best thing about this lake is there are no structures is completely wild. This is one of my favorite places in Vermont, it’s a must see.
Lovely, quiet lake with hiking and amazing fishing spots. No motor boats are allowed, so its the perfect place for bringing the canoe. Campgrounds are close.

“La Toscanella serves a more personal-pan style Italian pizza with lots of vegetarian options for toppings. Super tasty, but if you're looking for mozz sticks and chicken parm, go next door to Tony's. ”

“Your basic supermarket, a short drive south of Mount Snow so it’s a good idea to stop here on your way up if you are coming from the south to stock up on supplies.”

“Great convenience store. A huge selection of everything, including firewood, almost like a supermarket. It also has a Vermont State liquor store. They do a great job and it's clean.”
