UNESCO site and Icon on Mahabalipuram. 7th Century rock-cut former temple, displaying elaborate hand-carved designs. One of the oldest in the Dravidian style in Tamil Nadu and the last remaining of the "Seven Pagodas." Best time to visit early morning as the sun rises.

The Shore Temple built during the Pallava Dynasty in 8th Century A.D., is so named because it overlooks the shore of the Bay of Bengal on the Mahabs point. The jetty built to protect this ancient site has given us our world-class point break, and makes for an amazing backdrop for all your surf sessions!
