They call it the “Mount Rushmore” of the Catskills! A moderately difficult hike with parking area and beautiful views.

Pratt Rock, also known as Pratt's Rock, is a rockface or other landform that includes a series of stone carvings in Prattsville, New York depicting the life of Zadock Pratt. There's a great swimming hole at Pratt Rock.

An area maintained by New York State, views of the Hudson River Valley and 5 states. On a clear day, the panoramic view from this location encompasses the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, the Helderberg Mountains of New York and the Connecticut Valley.

Beautiful view from the top. Enter from rt 23, hike from our door to the top in 20 min. Be sure to explore above and beyond the historic carvings. Great picnic spots. Swimming hole in the Schoharie Creek across the street above and below the fish ladder.
