It’s a rare market where you can buy produce from gardens in the neighborhood as well as unique food products made throughout Detroit. Going by this little market is a good way to learn about people growing and taking care of themselves in the city. You can also buy fish that were raised right next door at a place called the CDC Farm and Fishery. They have a whole operation with growing tilapia and basil together.”

“Great for sports enthusiasts their food is the best in Corktown. You will LOVE their shepherds pie (my favorite) but everything is good and they are known for their burgers. Great beer selection as well!”

“When I want to “do the most” and get my fingers covered with good seasoning and dipping sauce, I stop here. It’s a gem and I love to support other black-owned businesses and they’ve been in business for a very long time. The deep-fried turkey bites are my favorite, hands down! They’re so, so good. I get the Cajun ones, but they have other flavors. They have a special sauce you can get to go with the bites. Some usually comes with them, but if you’re saucy like me then you will most definitely need at least one more. Its really good too—it seems like a mixture of some type of hot sauce and ranch—perfect!”
