Hyalite is a beautiful forest service area offering anything from easy hikes to waterfalls, to water sports and even (in the winter) world-class ice-climbing. The reservoir is the nearest body of water where you can take a motorized boat - and happens to be where most of the City of Bozeman's water comes from! Dozens of amazing hikes from the reservoir parking lot. Hyalite is a must if you have to stay close to Bozeman for your visit. Check out hyalite dot org for more info.

Outdoor recreation galore. Hiking, biking, camping on the reservoir. I grew up ice fishing here before the road was plowed in the winter. Bozeman’s most heavily recreated area now, for good reason.

Beautiful Reservoir. Tons of hiking trails. No cell phone service. Great place to unplug and enjoy the BIG sky!
