One of Pembrokeshire's finest castles, dramatically located on the shores of the millpond is open all year round. Originally a Norman stronghold, but later a grand Elizabethan manor house before succumbing to the ravages of the Civil War. A programme of events is held in the castle throughout the…

Another great castle. A level walk (slight inclines) from the parking areas. One opposite the Carew Inn. The other is immediate left after you cross the bridge from the Carew Inn.. Keep going alongside the water and the car park is straight ahead. The circular walk takes you around the Millpond and…

Carew Castle is well worth a visit. Good area for dog walking. Small cafe for drinks and cake with a majority of out door and limited indoor seating. The local pub across the road, serves good, reasonably priced food.

“With such a splendid setting overlooking a beautiful unspoilt beach, families love to explore Manorbier Castle and bring a little bit of history to life. The impressive Great Hall, Chapel and Turrets are dotted with life size figures - see children of the Tudor period and some prisoners in the dungeon.”

Farm
“Located near Tenby, Folly Farm is an all weather farm, adventure park and zoo. The zoo is home to over 50 species of animals from Meerkats to Camels and also Wales’ only giraffes. Following the peaceful walk around the park brings you up close with the amazing creatures and the information boards provide some fascinating facts on the species and their habitats. The undercover Jolly Barn houses chickens, pigs, goats and many other farmyard favourites and there are regular pet handling sessions in the Pet’s Corner where you can meet rabbits, tortoises, parrots and lots more. There are indoor and outdoor play areas and the undercover Vintage Fair has a huge collection of restored rides. Follywood, the parks own country park with deer, llama, shire horses, sheep, Shetland ponies and goats, can be explored via the land train and there is a nature trail where you can learn about the trees, woodland and animals that dwell in the Pembrokeshire countryside. Within the park there is a restaurant, café and burger bars.”
