Ještěd is the highest mountain peak of the Ještěd-Kozákov Ridge near Liberec in the north of the Czech Republic. From the summit there are views into Germany and Poland. It has a cable car and restaurant. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championship 2009 was held here and there are great slopes for skiing in the season.

The symbol of Liberec, the highest peak around (1012m) and stunning piece of architecture (awarded by the Perret's prize in 1970s). If you don't feel like climbing to the top on your own, you can use the cable car.
