The Kaziranga National Park is one of the most successful wildlife conservation projects. The one-horned rhino can be seen in fair numbers, often even from the viewpoints that flank the highway. I have visited other national parks that are dedicated to rhino conservation such as Jaldapara in north Bengal and Chitwan in Nepal. Among them, Kaziranga definitely takes the cake. An added suggestion is to take a safari in the western range, called Bagori. This part of the national park has less visitors. The chances of spotting more wildlife is, therefore, higher.
