The Central Market is a place where food is experienced, told and prepared by artisans who respect it and know it deeply. It is a space to be lived and shared and a container that becomes a cultural and social content, without losing spontaneity and simplicity.

“The Boboli Gardens (Italian: Giardino di Boboli) is a historical park of the city of Florence that was opened to the public in 1766. Originally designed for the Medici, it represents one of the first and most important examples of the "Italian Garden", which later served as inspiration for many European courts. The large green area is a real open-air museum with statues of various styles and periods, ancient and Renaissance that are distributed throughout the garden. It also has large fountains and caves, among them the splendid Buontalenti grotto built by the artist, architect and sculptor Bernardo Buontalenti between 1536 and 1608 ”

“Situated on a hilltop which is easily accessible by foot. It has the best view of the city. The sunset from here is spectacular and you get to see the city in orange light. Not to miss!!!”

“The Academy was built in the 1784 when the Grand Duke of Tuscany Pietro Leopoldo reorganized the Academy of the Arts of Design, founded in 1563 by Cosimo I de'Medici, in the modern Academy of Fine Arts. The new institution occupied the rooms of the fourteenth century of San Matteo Hospital and those of the convent of San Niccolò di Cafaggio. The museum was enriched with the suppression of churches and convents ordered by Pietro Leopoldo in 1786 and by Napoleone Bonaparte in 1810. The decisive event in the history of the museum was the transfer of Michelangelo's David from Piazza della Signoria in August 1873. The most famous sculpture in the world waited nine years, kept in a wooden case, the conclusion of the construction of the Tribune designed by the architect Emilio De Fabris to welcome it. Today's Academy Gallery was established in 1882.”

“The market takes place every morning (excluding holidays) from 7am to 2pm, partly outdoors, with benches of clothing, fruit and vegetables and food, and partly indoors, in the building built in 1873 on project by Giuseppe Mengoni; inside the building there are food sales stalls, meat and fish, fruit and vegetables and catering points. In front of the market, on the side of Via della Mattonaia, overlooks the former monastery of Santa Verdiana, used in the past as a women's prison; today a part of it is used by the University of Florence, as the seat of the Faculty of Architecture.”

“The Uffizi Gallery is a prominent art museum located adjacent to the Piazza della Signoria in the Historic Centre of Florence in the region of Tuscany, Italy. One of the most important Italian museums and the most visited, it is also one of the largest and best known in the world and holds a collection of priceless works, particularly from the period of the Italian Renaissance. After the ruling house of Medici died out, their art collections were gifted to the city of Florence under the famous Patto di famiglia negotiated by Anna Maria Luisa, the last Medici heiress. The Uffizi is one of the first modern museums. The gallery had been open to visitors by request since the sixteenth century, and in 1765 it was officially opened to the public, formally becoming a museum in 1865. Today, the Uffizi is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Florence and one of the most visited art museums in the world.”
