Grandview Nature Preserve is open to the public free and forms the northeast corner of the city of Hampton. The Preserve covers over 475 acres of salt marsh, tidal creeks, and Chesapeake Bay beachfront. The Preserve is a great location to beach comb, observe the migratory birds, and photography. It is also a great place for fishing. You will need to obtain a saltwater fishing license from Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. Parking: There is only street parking which is on the right side of State Park Drive. Hours of Operation:Sunrise to Sunset

Peaceful nature walking path bordering a marsh that leads to the beach. Look for turtles & more. Parking is on the street in a neighborhood. No amenities, just nature. The remote beach experience covers over 570 acres of undeveloped salt marsh, tidal creeks, & Chesapeake Bay beachfront. Here, you can enjoy peace, quiet, wide open space, & the wild! Know before you go: Entrance on State Park Dr. just off Beach Rd. Limited street parking available on State Park Dr. There are no bathrooms or trash cans, so you must take out everything you bring in.
