This is a square where there are the National Library , Municipal Theatre, and other buildings from colonial's time. Cinelandia is named after so many Cinemas used to be around this square. Nowadays there is only Odeon left. It is also a spot where they launch new Brazilian movies or host theatre's prizes

Ali perto também fica o famoso painel do Portinari, no Ministério da Cultura. \ In addition to our iconic Municipal Theater, the Cinelandia region is full of historic buildings, cultural centers and museums, such as the Museum of Fine Arts and the Federal Justice Cultural Center. Nearby is also the famous Portinari panel at the Ministry of Culture.

Onde está localizado o Theatro Municipal e outras obras arquitetônicas da Belle Époque. Há também estação para o novo trem, VLT, que leva até o Museu do Amanhã. Where is the Municipal Theatre and other architectural works of the Belle Époque. There is also a station for the new train, tramway, leading to the Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do Amanhã)
