This is a must-do! How often do you get to hike the entire rim of a volcano, or look at the stars from the bottom of the crater? From the top you can see Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Kansas!

Just a nice drive over to New Mexico to drive up and view and walk the cone of a volcano. Great visitors center and museum.

Capulin is one of the few Volcanos where you can actually hike down into the vent. Also, if you are a star gazer, the night-viewing sky is rated 2nd in the world because there is nothing else around it. No ambient light.
