The humans walk through cages while the monkeys run wild. We love this place because you can feed the monkeys and watch how intelligent they are. There are a few shows per day and feedings you can watch that make it really interesting to visit.

Monkey Jungle Miami was founded in 1933 by Joseph Dumond; Dumond brought 6 monkeys into South Florida and released them into a very lush, overgrown part of town. Monkey Jungle today is a 7 acre reserve and is one of the very few protected habitats for endangered primates in the United States – and it is the ONLY ONE that is open to the general public (as of 2015).

South Miami A place that can only exist in Miami because it would be illegal anywhere else! The monkeys here are loose and you're the ones in the cage. Feed them through small dishes that hang from the enclosure above. May be closed due to Covid so check before you go
