One of the largest basilicas in the country, it's well worth a visit including up to the tower for a great view. In season check out the Christmas Fair right in front of it for some delicacies including a nice cup of mulled wine!

Point of Interest
“From Spring the spinning and sparkling gem of the city, the Sziget Eye, opens at Erzsébet Square yet again. The giant is 65 metres high, has 41 cabins and can take 332 people at once. 15 people built Europe's largest traveling Ferris wheel in 8 days. The wheel will be operating at Erzsébet Square during the Sziget Festival as well, so we will be able to study Budapest from a higher perspective all summer. Not only can we see Deák Square, Andrássy Avenue, Anker Palace, Király Street, Buda Hills and the Danube from the Ferris wheel, but we can discover the Basilica from a whole new perspective as well.
