What started off as a vision for Big Island Bowls food truck owners has become a reality with the opening of The Village Garden, the first venue of its kind in St. Augustine. For years, Big Island Bowls occupied a space next to Mojo’s Tacos, until owners Kelly and Brendan Schneck decided it was time to make a space for themselves and other local food trucks. The Village Garden is a community-centered outdoor venue with four permanent food trucks and two rotating guest food trucks every day. The four permanent food trucks include Big Island Bowls, New York Beach Bagels, and Pele’s Wood Fire, and Good Karma Cafe. Open seven days a week, The Village Garden has food options to satisfy every palate in town.

Try our tacos today! Kusina Colorado Chef Lily and Chef Travis met at Johnson & Wales University in Denver Colorado in 2013. They worked well together and were inspired by each other despite coming from very different backgrounds. Chef Lily found her love for cooking at an early age helping her grandparents and her father who cooked traditional Filipino cuisine.
