Easy walking hike located .7 miles from Breakneck Base Camp Airbnb. Historic Site with flowing creek & Waterfalls Directions to West Point Foundry from 191 Main Street - head down Main Street, Make a LEFT on Kemble Avenue, walk about .5 miles to entrance. Recommended Route - make a left at the West Point Foundry Preserve Sign and follow the path on the right to Historic Ruins of the West Point Foundry. The creek and waterfalls will be located on the far right of metal path. You can hike all the way up and come down on the left side (complete loop) to take in all the history and beauty of this wonderful easy hike. As you exit back towards the entrance, walk past the West Point Foundry Preserve Sign and Bathrooms to path heading towards the River & Trains to see more. There is a metal staircase on the right that will take you up to a bluff with awesome views overlooking Constitution Marsh with views of the Hudson River and West Point. An off the path location that is great for an afternoon picnic or some bird watching. Bring your binoculars if you can as Bald Eagles and other birds nest in Constitution Marsh. As you exit Metal Stairs turn RIGHT towards train tracks to exit on Train Platform to Lower Main Street in Cold Spring Village.

Mellow hike about with free parking, easily accessible flat trails and an option to take a downloadable history tour. A great place to walk about and take in some local history without crowds.
