Chattahoochee Nature Center

Sundays on the River Concert Series. Nature all year, and outdoor ticketed concerts May-September, on the second Sundays of each month. Bring a picnic.
Gorgeous hikes. Tons of access areas, the park is huge. If you're looking to take a run, or walk, I'd recommend here.
Explore natural wonder just outside of Atlanta, where the Chattahoochee gently bends. Enjoy trails, exhibits, programs and events on 127 acres of forest, wetland, and river habitat. An experience unlike any other Atlanta attraction.
5-10 minute drive, great boardwalk and paved trails for running and biking along the river
The Chattahoochee Nature Center is a private, non-profit environmental education facility in Roswell, Georgia. Located on 127 acres adjacent to the Chattahoochee River, the nature center focuses on educational outreach through the use of live flora and fauna

“A very authentic Irish pub. Full menu and bar. Make sure to go upstairs. You will feel like you are in England or Ireland for sure. A landmark on Canton st. This red painted building has been here a very long time. About 8/10 mile walk from Mary’s Cottage. ”

“Really good Italian food. Great bar area. And oysters. Fine dining. Awesome wine list. They take reservations. This too is about 1 mile walk. And super quick upper ride. They have valet parking. ”

“Our favorite craft and microbrew. Fun outdoor seating, games, and a killer set of IPAs (and other genres!)”

“Great place to sit outside and have a cocktail. They have live music often. Maybe an appetizer before you head further down to canton st for dinner or nightlife. They have brunch on weekends. Can almost throw a rock to this place from Mary’s cottage. About 2/10 of a mile of that. And interesting fact is this building used to be the funeral home and mortuary. I hear there is still a working coffin elevator in some part of the building ”
