“Great happy hour - delishous oysters, crab fried rice, best martini in the valley and the friendliest bartenders!”

“One of our very favorite things to do! The proprietors, Kathy and Bill, are delightful. We take all our out of town guests here. Tooling around on these battery operated bikes is so much fun!”

“I highly recommend taking a drive down to the Verde River if you have are driving a truck or SUV. Needle Rock Recreation site is our favorite local spot. Beautiful photo opportunities, swimming, fishing, picnics. If using GPS on your phone, it might take you to the picnic site which is okay (has picnic tables, restrooms, but is not as close to the river), but the best spot is more rugged. Just stay on Service Road 20 until it turns to gravel and stay right to the large parking area near the river (you will see a pin on Google Maps for Verde River Rec Site). Weekdays are less crowded- weekends in the summer can get too congested. If adventurous and driving an SUV or Truck with decent ground clearance, you can try taking Dixileta Dr to Service Road 20. Just turn right out of our driveway and stay on the dirt road until you pass through the gate as you enter Tonto National Forest. Stay on road (very bumpy, large ruts, especially after storms) until you reach a very steep decline to the left which brings you to Service Road 20. Turn left and stay on road until you end up in the large gravel parking area on the righ, next to the river (about ¼ mile).”
