For me the nicest arqueological zone. The jungle there is amazing, you can rent bicycles in site for very cheap and ride around the pyramids inside. Another plus is that you can still climb the tallest pyramid with is almost the tallest point in the whole peninsula. There are daily ADO buses.

Mayan town worth to visit. Bike to the different areas and claim one of the fewest pyramids that allow you to do it.

Less visited than Tulum ruins but a great site with a climbable pyramid and sweeping views. Go early, it's in the jungle and gets quite warm.

Coba is an archaeological site of the Mayan Culture located 110 km from Playa del Carmen, dated between 500 to 900 A.D. It had many temples among which Nohoch Mul Pyramid has survived.
