Don't let the name fool you, they do not serve food! This is a great local museum with an informative tour of tavern life in the 17th century.

Built by George Washington’s youngest brother Charles around 1760 as his home, this frame building became a tavern in 1792 when it was purchased by the Wallace family. It operated for 35 years as a stopover for travelers in the bustling port town of Fredericksburg.

This colonial tavern was owned by Charles Washington, brother of George. The outside doesn't look like it going to be much, but wait until you get inside! It is amazing!
