“The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse was given as a gift to the City of Boulder from its sister-city, Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The Teahouse now stands for global friendship and cultural exchange. From 1987 -1990, more than 40 artisans in several cities of Tajikistan created the decorative elements of the Teahouse, including its hand-carved and hand-painted ceiling, tables, stools, columns, and exterior ceramic panels. The Teahouse is located along the Boulder Creek. If the weather is nice, you can sit right along the water and enjoy tea, chai, and food! In my opinion, its a must-visit location in Boulder, even just to take a look from outside.”
