The first place to take guests for a meal in Bondi is Icebergs: a multilevel icon overlooking the famous beach and seawater swimming pool that’s so part of Sydney’s history. It’s part of my history too—I celebrated my twenty-first birthday here when the place was a decrepit old building! Now it’s revamped with terrific food to match the setting. Before dinner, start with a boutique beer or mojito on the balcony and watch surfers ride into the sunset. I like the buildup of relaxing with friends with a drink before sitting down at the table. Plus, seeing Bondi light up at night feels a bit like Christmas.
Best view of Bondi from above overlooking iceberg pool. Go to the RSL next to fancy Iceberg, bring your ID, check in as temporary visitor, grab a seafood platter and enjoy the waves. If you want to splurge then book a fine dining experience at Iceberg next door.
Are you celebrating. Bondi's iconic icebergs serves great food and cocktails with an unbeatable view.

“Great view and prefer spot to enjoy some sundowners. North Bondi fish is just a 3-5 minute walk and the perfect spot to enjoy a late lunch and enjoy the stunning view.”

“This costal walk starts right at your doorstep and can be extended right along to Coogee. One the most beautiful scenic walks. Get up early and get it done prior to the day warming up and avoid the crowd. ”

“China Diner offers a cross-pollination of Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese dishes. They're doing a menu that’s been designed with big groups in mind, which might explain the caveat at the bottom of the snacks section. And that is ‘a minimum order of two per item’. There are Vietnamese sandwiches (the smoked tofu with pickled carrot, cucumber and coriander is the winner here) and sticky, sweet Malaysian-style Marmite chicken wings. Puffy and addictive rice crackers flecked with seaweed go strangely well with a side of Cantonese-style pickled red cabbage.”
