One of a few Ethiopian restaurants. If you haven't had Ethiopian, it's a fun, unique experience in which you eat with your hands family style. Great for vegetarians but plenty of meat options as well.

This is the best Ethiopian food I have ever eaten. Although the decor is average and the service is spotty, the food is heavenly. It's a trek to get out here, but your effort will be rewarded.

Silver Spring is unique for it's Ethiopian community, rivaled only in NYC and LA. There are several restaurants and cafes featuring variations on Ethiopian fare and the patrons and proprietors are warm and friendly. We are told Addis has the most authentic atmosphere. If you're curious or already a fan, now's your chance, the cuisine is very flavorful and on the spicy side.
