Just across the street at the corner, The Orange Store serves up surprisingly excellent po-boys and is good spot to pick up snacks and drinks (and t-shirts and glassware). They’re open most nights until 11 pm. Pro tip: Make sure to ask for your sandwich on “French” (bread) and “dressed” for all the fixings.

This seedy corner store has one of the best shrimp po-boys in town, and for under $7. Giant tempura battered shrimp and flakey bread. They stop serving food at 8pm & are closed on Sunday.

The BEST fried shrimp po'boy in the city, hands down. And CHEAP! Order from the window in the back of this no frills bodega and you'll be in po'boy heaven! There's no seating so go outside and find a neighbors stoop to sit on or bring it home to enjoy.
