Historic Corktown charms everyone with its brick streets, cute shops and fun bars/distilleries.
Corktown is considered the center of Irish culture and history in Detroit and is home to Gaelic League and Holy Trinity Church
The area has a long history as Detroit’s oldest neighborhood, with “1834” emblazoned proudly on the signs. The name, some say, refers to County Cork in Ireland, as many of the early residents were immigrants after the potato famine.
Corktown is a trendy area with chic industrial bars, restaurants, intimate live music venues and hip breweries.

“This bar has an amazing dive-bar feel to it, but also brings some of the best punk and rock'n'roll acts to it's stage. Also if you're into retro dance music, check their schedule for ThirstWave.”
