Walk the 187 metres to the top of this 300 million year old volcanic lava plug with a whale bone on the top. With rest stops on the way it is worth it for the 360 views across eastern half of the Lothians and Edinburgh, Fife to the north, and the northern edge of the Southern Uplands to the south.
A short hike that will give you magnificent views across the Firth of Forth to the hills in the north. Highly recommended.
North Berwick Law (187m) is a relatively easy climb with the correct footwear and is well worth the effort for the amazing views.
An easy 30 - 60 minute walk up to the top of the hill with stunning views across East Lothian and across the Firth of Forth towards Fife.

“The village of Dirleton is so pretty and this castle and its gardens situated right in the village is a lovely visit. There's lots of nooks and crannies to explore in the castle ruins and we love wandering round imagining it in its heyday.”
