One of spectacular natural features in the area, and unequalled in Europe. You feel absolutely dwarfed by this rock structure. The path which leads down to the base of the “ bridge” was actually the entrance to a huge carsic cave. The roof of the cave, due to the erosive action of an underwater stream, collapsed, and all the remains today is this enormous arch of stone with a waterfall underneath it.

Valpolicella: Ponte di Veia Ponte di Veia is an astonishing natural bridge just 15 minutes up the hill from Negrar. The whole area is part of a natural park with a friendly restaurant and fine walks in the surrounding hills. Part of the area has been developed as an open air museum to show how people lived here in prehistoric times, and at weekends the area is a favourite for climbers who entertain the other visitors with their daring exploits.
