The location for the 1969 Woodstock Festival, Bethel Woods holds excellent shows and concerts all summer long - plus they have a great museum on the history of the festival and rock broadly.
A wonderful place to see a concert in an outdoor amphitheater on the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. It has a host of local restaurants and breweries offering artisanal food and drink. The site also is home to the museum featuring the festival history with changing featured curations.

“You can do a longer trip by tube, canoe, kayak, or raft with Lander’s Rivers Trips. It is federal parkland and rangers do patrol the area. It’s dog friendly, and fine to bring wine and beer for your picnic, but no glass bottles.”
