This is the real Batcave, the one from TV where Adam West lived with the Boy Wonder, not the one where Christian Bale gets all solemn and dreary in The Dark Knight Trilogy. It’s a short walk from the end of Canyon Drive in Griffith Park and you’ll instantly recognize it as the Batcave entrance where the Batmobile comes out. Bronson Canyon is a beautiful hike, especially if you have a dog. Go through the cave to get a cool view of the Hollywood sign. And to get even closer to it, there’s a six-mile walk from the parking lot to the top of Mount Lee.
In the opening sequence of the classic Batman tv series starring Adam West, the Batmobile drove out of these caves and to go fight crime.
Short easy hike from parking lot up to natural caves that were famously used as a location for the original 1960s Batman TV show, among other film credits. You can get a view of the Hollywood sign from the caves or you can double back and take the longer more strenuous hike up toward the Hollywood…
Unique caves and bandit hideout hills where some Westerns were filmed, views of Hollywood sign. Picnic tables line entrance. Great local spot and often uncrowded-- reminds how uniquely geographic Hollywood and LA.
Bronson Canyon, or Bronson Caves, is a section of Griffith Park in Los Angeles that has become known as a filming location for many movies and TV shows, especially westerns and science fiction, from the early days of motion pictures to the present.

“Visit UCB's late-night shows, in particular, to get a window into one of the most well-known stand-up comedy theaters in LA. Tickets are cheap, but make sure to get in line at least half an hour before your show to get good seats. Franklin Tavern right next door is a good place to get a drink and a quick bite before the show. ”
