Elie is the closest village to the cottage. It has lots of shops, restaurants and bars to enjoy throughout the day. Drive: The drive to Elie from the cottage is around 2 minutes. Bus: The bus stop next to the cottage will take you to Elie in around 5mins. Walk: There are 2 walking options. There is a lovely scenic walk along the local loch through the woods. This will take around 40mins and bring you out at one end of Elie. You can also walk along the main road by a footpath which will take around 30mins and will bring you to the other end of Elie.

Walk the coastal path to Elie. 10km. Take a left at the bottom of the garden and follow the bay. Signs will direct you along the way. Feeling adventurous? Try the chain walk, a series of chains and footholds to climb over the rocks, not to be attempted at high tide! Eat at the Ship inn or treat yourself to an ice cream from the van at the beach. Elie water sports offer kayak or paddle board hire as well as windsurfing lessons. Don’t fancy the walk back? Take the regular double decker bus. The views from the upper deck are great.

Lovely sandy beach and you’ll see lots enjoy watersports and swimming in the summer. Perfect for a sunny day and picnic. Enjoy an ice cream cone from Carol’s Shop whilst you watch the waves.
