It can get crowded, but walking Downtown Gatlinburg is fun. There are a ton of things to see, do, and eat.

Gatlinburg was an amazing area in the middle of the Smoky Mountains. We wish we were able to spend more time in this area to take it all in. We enjoyed taking the ski chairlift up to the Skybridge to see the town from a higher altitude! There are many shops, restaurants, and different entertainment venues right along the main strip here. Paid parking is available, we were able to find an all day parking lot for $15-$20 or so.

It is a Meca of tourist fun. Shops, attractions, restaurants, ski lift to the top of the mountain to the Swiss chalet for snow skiing or bear habitat. Be aware Gatlinburg has a main drag that can be time consuming with traffic, but it's worth a go.

My favorite thing to do here is go to the aquarium, believe it or not. It's pretty special. Best time to go is midweek around 5pm. You'll have the place very emptied out, even in the middle of summer.
