Great place to hike or ride your bike. Be prepared to get the heart rate soaring:) About 12-15 min drive to trail head.

Not too far. This trail is much more demanding: 5800' at trailhead, 7300' at Buffalo Bill's grave. That's a 1500' gain in altitude over about 3 & 1/2 miles. Start in high plains & then ascend to montane. Nice view of Golden at top.

This is a great hike right near Golden. The top has incredible views, & then you can head to Golden after for some food and drinks! Moderate hike as a lot of it is uphill.

Beautiful trail up Lookout Mtn. About 4 miles if you take it up to the very top but great pull offs and views the whole way up. Awesome for mtn biking too but not for beginners.
