Amber Museum / Museo de Ambar A small, but interesting and informative collection about amber, its forms, and types, mining locations, formation etc.) Downstairs there is a shop and the mini-museum is located upstairs. As it is free, definitely worths a visit!

Ubicado en uno de los edificios coloniales más bellamente restaurados del siglo XVII, el Museo del Mundo de Ámbar cuenta con una pequeña pero completa exhibición de esta piedra preciosa en el segundo piso del edificio, más allá de la joyería de la planta baja. En la primera sala con poca luz, se exhiben piedras de ámbar rojo, azul y verde de diferentes tamaños de la República Dominicana y del extranjero. La segunda sala está dedicada a las características únicas del ámbar dominicano y su historia minera en el país. ----- Set in one of the most beautifully restored 17th century colonial buildings, the Amber World Museum boasts a small but comprehensive display on this precious stone on the second floor of the building—past the ground floor jewelry store. In the first dimly lit room, red, blue, and green amber stones of varying sizes from the DR and abroad are showcased. The second room is dedicated to the unique features of Dominican amber, and its mining history in the country.
