The Belfry tower is no less than 83 metres high! On your way to the top you will discover the old treasury room, an impressive clock mechanism and a carillon with 47 bells. After 366 steps, your athletic efforts will be rewarded with a breath-taking view of Bruges and its surrounding countryside.

If you feel up to it, take the climb to the top of this ancient tower. It offers you an amazing view over the historic centre.

If you are fit enough to climb up 366 windy stairs of the most important and tallest tower of Bruges, you will be rewarded with a 360 degrees view of Bruges and surroundings, weather permitted of course. Well worth the work-out!

Impressive bell tower. Absolutely worth the climb if you can beat the queues by arriving early... Lovely view on the city, impressive to watch and hear the carillon in motion.

“Ancient convent, now occupied by some Benedictines, consisting of charming white houses with an amazingly beautiful garden in the middle and an old convent church. One of the must-sees if you are visiting Bruges... Best visited in the morning, before the crowds.”

“Great brewery with the best beers of Bruges. They have a unique 3km beer pipeline that lies underneath the city streets! Excellent guided tours with tasting afterwards. The food in their own restaurant is also very nice!”

“This is one of my favourite churches in Bruges. The double church, dedicated to Our Lady and Saint Basil in the 12th century and a basilica since 1923, consists of a lower church that has maintained its Romanesque character and a neo-Gothic upper church, in which the relic of the Holy Blood is preserved. ”
