This is where Mash the tv show was filmed. You can hike to see the army vehicles used during the filming that the crew left when the show was canceled. Pretty cool for those of us who remember the series.
Base for Malibu Creek State Park. Just a 15 minute drive down our canyon and part of the greater system of trails that go right up to our neighborhood. Many great hikes here.
This is a great park to explore on foot. The old Mash site is there and contains many of the original props from that great show about a group of dedicated doctors during the Korean War. Its also a great climbing spot and an excellent example of Californian riparian landscape. rest rooms and water…
Great place for hiking, picnics, and families/ friends functions. Must check out the visitors' center. My kids and nieces' favorite. Parks are closed during COVID-19 pandemic. Looking forward to re-opening soon.
4 min drive to the recreational crown jewel of the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu Creek State Park has over 8,000 acres of rolling tallgrass plains, oak savannahs and dramatic peaks. It's no wonder many call it "The Yosemite of Southern California". The stunning terrain here that has been seen all…
This park is our back yard! The creek runs right thru our street and into the park. There are many trails and paths and entrances to this park. There is even a waterhole you can jump into!

“One of the most stunning locales in the Santa Monica Mountains, 588-acre King Gillette Ranch offers a rare unspoiled view of California’s rich archaeological, cultural, and historic resources, including a Chumash settlement, and nationally significant structures designed for razor magnate King C. Gillette in the 1920’s by Wallace Neff, architect of California’s Golden Age.”

“Several Sundays throughout the summer are free concerts in an outdoor amphitheatre. Small so no bad seats but always enough space to sit. Historic house to visit on the property as well as hiking trails. The Old Place, great dinner spot, just across the street, as well as wine tasting next door at Cornell Winery.”

“Throwback in time. It’s small rustic, an old saloon tucked away into the canyon. Food is great, people eclectic. Locals and the Beverly Hills elite all come here. Saturday & Sunday breakfast/lunch is the best. ”
