telephone: +36 1 302 5393 My favourite hungarian restaurant in Budapest: it's small, but frequented by tourists and by Hungarians, the menu is rich, and everything's amazing, both meat and fish. It's behind the Basilica. The first page of the menu has the seasonal dishes. I love their goulash soup, with Soproni draft beer! I recommend booking. Metro stops: Deak ter (M1, M2, M3), Vorosmarty ter (M1), but especially Bajcsy-Zsilinszky (M1).

This place is not a tourist trap, you will have a lovely meal without paying too much as a tourist. Food selection is great, they have weekly specials and you will find Hungarian specialities :-)

Nice place with good food and affordable prices behind the Basilic. Their tourist menu is only 12 euros with three courses and it is very delicious!

This restaurant is in the core, only a few minutes walk from the "Opera House" or from "St. Stephan's Basilica". It has a very good kitchen with lots of traditional meal on the menu.
