Come and see where it all began here in the Shoals. Come and check out where Southern Rock was born with the remake of "Hey Jude" by Wilson Pickett and Duane Allman. Jennifer Hudson came to visit here to see where Aretha Franklin recorded one of biggest hits "Respect." A movie was made about Aretha's life and portion of it was based on her time in Muscle Shoals.

If you like music, you will love touring Fame Studios where it all started!!!! We are known as the Hit Recording Capital of the World with such artists as Aretha Franklin, Percy Sledge, The Rolling Stones, Sonny and Cher, Michael Jackson, the Osmonds, and others recording hit songs in the Shoals area. It's a must see!
