This is a must do for most people. I have enjoyed riding this old railroad bed with all four of my boys and when I was younger we would do 18 miles. There are many people who will walk parts of the trail instead of biking. The trail is very scenic and has smooth, level ground perfect for biking or walking. The trail is 45 miles long and goes from Harrisburg to Karnak Illinois

Amazing bike trails, part of which goes through an old train tunnel. Quite the experience. If you have two cars, park one at the end and drive bikes to the other so you don't have to do round trip on bikes.

You drive to the start, then you can bike or hike down the old railroad path and trestle. Some try to make it to the next town.
