Very friendly neighborhood, filled with cozy cafes and wine places. You can grab a glass of wine in the Vinoteka, super Vietnamese spring rolls in the "Tuan Lan" bistro next to it and enjoy nice dinner on the square :)

Daily markets and nice atmosphere! The majority of the Jiřího z Poděbrad Square is a city park, built in the 19th and 20th centuries on the site where there were originally gardens. The square is dominated by the exceptional Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord (Kostel Nejsvětějšího Srdce Páně) from 1928-1932, a work of the renowned architect of Slovenian origin Josip Plečnik.

This is a square near by and it has really rich life on its own. There is great and very unusual church in the middle of it that you must see. It is 100 years old church designed by Josip Plečnik, Slovenian architect invited by our first president Tomáš Masaryk to do mainly a lot of work on the Prague Castle, but he also did this very futuristic looking church. Every day from Wednesday to Saturday there is a market with artisan foods, vegetables and flowers where it is so much fun to go. You must go there for shopping and food tasting.
