Arts and crafters' collective in a beautiful setting at the foot of the Black Mountains. There are a lot of studios in the valley, and you can go visit most of them and see the artist at work. There is a playful quality to some of the work that you don't find anywhere else.

Locally run store selling different kinds of artwork from local artists. Included is local pottery, local wooden goods, paintings, prints, fiber art, jewelry, and much more! Great stop for gifts and items to rememeber your trip.

Yancey County is home to over a hundred craft studios, including glass blowing, pottery, weaving, blacksmithing, jewelry and more. Many of the artists have work in the Smithsonian and other museums and galleries across the country. This one is only 1.5 miles from the Cottage.
