A comfortable flagstoned pub with a local feel situated in the picturesque village of Rennington, just north of Alnwick. The traditional pub and restaurant is full of character. The pub itself dates back to 1841 and as the name suggests use to house the local blacksmiths, many of the features still remain inside. The menu includes as many locally sourced ingredients and produce as seasonally possible. Dogs allowed in the bar area as well as the beer garden.

Every August Bank holiday weekend Rennington host its Scarcrow Festival. This is a FREE activity and enjoyed by all ages. Every year sees the villagers of Rennington decorating their gardens, house and streets with an abundance othemed Scarcrows it is a site to behold and well worth checking out if you are in the area. A short drive away and you can visit the Horseshoes Inn for lunch while your their but as one of the only pubs in the village it gets busy so if you can ring ahead and book a table.
