Baluran National Park is located in Situbondo Regency, East Java, Indonesia. It has a relatively dry climate and mainly consists of savanna (40%), as well as lowland forests, mangrove forests and hills, with Mount Baluran (1,247m) as its highest peak. There have been 444 species of plant recorded in the park, including some endangered plant species. The park is host to 26 species of mammals, including the endangered banteng, Sumatran dhole, Indian muntjac, Java mouse-deer, fishing cat, Javan leopard and Javan lutung. National Park with it's extensively grass land cover the area, wild life animal like peafowl, deers, oxen are running around the park. The beach are beautiful and good snorkelling spot.

Baluran earned the nickname Africa Van Java or Little Africa. The nickname is indeed very appropriate, because in TNB there is a vast Savana field with many wild animals. Bulls, deer, snakes, buffalo, pretty long-tailed monkeys, buffaloes and beautiful meraj birds, all in Baluran. The existence of this wildlife characterizes Baluran National Park conservation area. The name Baluran is taken from the name of the mountain located in this area, namely Mount Baluran which stands firm and becomes a beautiful setting. Baluran National Park covers 25 thousand hectares with several types of forests, animals and plants and 40% is savanna vegetation. Baluran is also referred to as a miniature of Indonesia's forests because almost all types of forests exist in Baluran. Taman Nasional Baluran memiliki Padang Savana yang mirip dengan padang savana di Afrika. Selain itu terdapat pantai Bama, dimana banyak hewan monyet berkeliaran di pantai.
