Portsea’s Front Beach is nestled within a sandy cove called Weeroona Bay. The water is usually calm and relatively safe for swimming but the tidal currents increase offshore. This beach is not patrolled by lifesavers. The pier is a popular spot for snorkelling and a departure point for scuba diving tours. Dogs are allowed on a leash between 7:00 pm and 9:00 am except during daylight savings.
