Amazing views from the top of this small hill right in the centre of town. Just continue eastwards along Princes Street and after a few minutes you'll see the steps on the left. We'll worth the climb.

Book brunch at the incredible Lookout restaurant at the top for a meal with the best view in Edinburgh.

Five minutes’ walk, basically just at the top of this street! Scotland’s first public park, a short (5 min) walk from the bottom to the top of the hill with incredible views of the city, the Firth of Forth, Arthur’s Seat, the Pentland Hills and beyond. I’m there every day! Also several famous monuments.

Calton Hill is a mix of bustling commercial areas and quiet residential streets. The hill itself, with its city views, is home to the Collective contemporary art gallery and the unfinished National Monument. Gay bars and casual eateries cluster around the top of busy Leith Walk, where the Edinburgh Playhouse stages musicals and comedy.
