You can drive right up and park at the Spit to see why Noosa Heads is called Noosa Heads! The river entrance and the view to the Noosa North Shore is beautiful any time of the day - but especially at sunset :)

Noosa Spit is a great spot if the Main Beach is crowded. Another top spot if you have kiddies as the currents feel calmer than the open beaches (in my opinion). There are no flags here though. We like to head down with our beach supplies and some take away and enjoy. You can walk to the cafes on Hastings St along the beach from here not a problem. Ps don't confuse this spot with the dog beach. While we love doggies, the dog beach has heaps of dogs all over the place and it can be confronting for kids. If that's not a problem for you than you will love the vibe of the dog beach also, definitely one of the best calm spots around.

Noosa Spit is at the mouth of the Noosa River as it wraps around to Main Beach. Lovely to walk around. Safe calm waters for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. The dog beach is a popular spot to swim with your furry friend or take a picnic to the beach at the river mouth at sunset. Fabulous.
