One of the most beautiful hikes in the country! This is an hour drive from our BNB, and definitely worth making a day for.

A 1.5 hour drive to Lake Cushman and hiking. Nestled within the Olympic National Forest overlooking turquoise streams and waterfalls. Great place for jumping off rocks into freezing waters!

Before entering the Olympic Nation Forest you will drive across a few staircases that sit on the cliffside of Lake Cushman. The staircases offer a chance to sit and enjoy the scenic view while being able to swim or jump into the water off a rock if you wanted to. The staircase area offers picnic tables at each staircase. There are about ar 6 separate staircases, some have multiple picnic tables. The area is open to the public so arrive early to claim your spot. Portapotties are available.

This well known hike is not too challenging and very enjoyable! There are tons of other trails in the area also.
